The Talen Outreach will give students ages 5-17 the opportunity to show off their talent. The categories are vocal, dance, and musical/instrumental.

Immunizations are one of the important ways parents can protect their children against serious diseases. Parents are encouraged to talk to their healthcare provider to ensure that their infant is up-to-date on immunizations. Healthcare providers play a critical role in educating parents about the importance of immunization and ensuring that infants are fully immunized. A Board Certified Physicial will answer frequently asked questions on the importance of immunization, immunization safety, H1N1 novel influenza vaccine, and more.

Are you a mother of more than one child? Are they all at different developmental stages? If you're a parent of an infant, toddler, tween and/or teen, then you understand the different emotional stages children go through. Triple P is a parent education course facilitated by Parent Child Center - ECW program. The triple P program will equip parents with positive parenting tips on how to deal with the different emotions that maybe be displayed by children at different developmemtal stages. This course allows parents to take the proatcive role in raising their kids and applying positive parenting methods to any emotional behavior regardless of age. Descprition: Families can save money by ordering from the SHARE Food Program. Once a month families can order from the food menu and receive about $45 worth of food for $20-$25 dollars. The menu includes meats packaged and sold separate (beef, pork, chicken, fish), fresh produce and frozen meal entrées.
West Riviera Beacon

Description: The West Riviera Beacon Center will be collaborating and participating in the county Back to School Bash given by the Community Back to School Bash, Inc. This event will offer clients and families the access to resources such as Florida Kid Care, healthcare screenings and information, Palm Beach Literacy Coalition, Project Access, various tutoring services, free haircuts, and a clothing closet. Participants of the event can learn how to get connected to many vital resources within their community. The Back to School Bash will also offer school book bags and school supplies to children in the community.
Event: Car Seat Safety

Description: In 2007, 985 passengers udner age 5 were killed - even though almost 500 of these children were strapped in their seats, albeit incorrectly. The fundamental issue to be discussed at this workshop is child safety as it relates to: proper child restraint, age and weight appropriate child safety seats and guidelines for proper seat use. Parents will also be given a child safety seat checklist and will be able to observe a live demonstration of how to properly restrain a child.

Description: Identity Theft is serious. Some identity theft victims spend hundreds of dollars and a lot of time trying to repair damage done to their good name and credit record. Some victims lose out on job opportunities, or are denied loans for education, cars, or housing because of negative information on their creidt reports. The West Riviera Beacon Center in collaboration with Consumer Credit Counselling will present a workshop to answer questions about avoiding identity theft. The workshop will describe indentity theft, how thieves can steal your identity, and what you should do if it happens to you. Protect your family, your home, and your credit score from identity thieves. Come on out and find out what you can do to help fight identity theft!
