Program Offered:
Housing Partnership Mentor Center offers a fun, safe, and structured opportunity for one on one mentoring for the youth (K-5th grade) enrolled in the after school component of the Beacon Center.  Mentoring provides an opportunity for the youth to develop to their fullest potential.

Population Served:
Children (grades K-5th) from Pahokee and Canal Point area that are enrolled in the Pahokee Youth Enrichment Academy (after school program)  at Pahokee Elementary School

Mentor Responsibilities: 
Mentors will spend one-on-one time with their mentee doing homework, reading and participating in fun activities such as games, arts & crafts, and sports. Mentors will share life experiences while providing support, guidance and positive role modeling behavior. Mentoring is on site only at Pahokee Elementary School from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Adults and high school students (10th grade minimum with guidance counselor and parent recommendation) are required to complete training prior to being matched with a youth.  Mentees and Mentors are required to attend fun trainings throughout the duration of the match.

Time Commitment:
Mentors are required to make a 2-hour a week commitment for 1 year.
