Turning Knowledge into Performance

CSC is a place for agency and program staff to build their repertoire of essential knowledge, skills, and abilities.  Through trainings, conferences, networking and other programs, CSC turns knowledge into performance that can be evaluated and measured over time.

Professional Development Workshops

Professional development opportunities are offered to support the work of the council's funded agencies, including those within the Healthy Beginnings, Quality Child Care, and Family and Community Programs. In collaboration with the Palm Beach County training collaborative, The Professional Development Department offers workshops that fall into seven tracks:

• Roadmap to Excellence: Achieving Results
• Essential Elements
• Mentoring
• Parenting

Accreditation

The Children’s Services Council has been approved to provide Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) by the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling (Provider No. BAP110).  CSC is also a CE Provider for the Florida Board of Nursing (Provider No. 50-372).
