About Afterschool
The goal of afterschool programs is to ensure that Palm Beach County children and youths ages 5-18 have the opportunity to spend non-school hours with caring adults in quality, asset-based programming that promotes their emotional, social, cognitive and physical development. They include traditional and nontraditional elementary and middle school programs. Traditional operate at least three hours a day after school and have extended programs when school is not in session, including during holiday and summer breaks. Non-traditional offer specialized programs, such as karate, music, etc. up to several times per week.
