KidSafe Foundations’ goal is to provide adults working with children up to date research and education on how best to prevent child sexual abuse. The seminar will cover defining appropriate boundaries, language of safety to use with children and families, grooming techniques of offenders, characteristics of offenders, what to do if you suspect abuse, response to a disclosure of abuse, mandated reporting – process and issues surrounding, characteristics of a child being harmed, and much more. 95% of abuse and exploitation of children is preventable with education. This is information all professionals, paraprofessionals, mentor volunteers, educators, and parents NEED to know to be proactive in keeping all children safe from abuse.
