Position Title: Victim Advocate
Employment Status: Non Exempt, Hourly
Department: Domestic Violence Shelter Services
Part Time (16 Hrs/Wk) Shifts Available:
Saturday & Sunday Overnights, 11pm-7am
Responsibilities: Delivery of empowerment based, solution focused advocacy, and case management services to adult and child victims of domestic violence in a 24-hr Shelter setting. Answer hotline calls. Knowledge of community services in Palm Beach County and excellent communication and organizational skills required. Ability to perform well in crisis situations and to ensure health and safety practices.
Qualifications: Experience working with domestic violence victims or in a hospitality service field. Candidate must be able to work with both adults and children. Experience working in residential setting a plus. Candidate must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for insurability.
