Overnight Facility Assistant - Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse, Inc.

Qualifications:
High School Graduate with experience in health and safety monitoring.  Experience in the human services field is helpful.  Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.  Basic computer skills required.

General Responsibility:
To maintain security and health and safety systems of a residential shelter facility and grounds in compliance with agency policies.  Assist with minor or emergency facility repairs and maintenance.

Description: 
This full-time Safety Net Therapist is responsible for providing clinical services to families experiencing family violence and who are at risk for child abuse and neglect.  Services include crisis intervention, clinical services, support groups, and connecting families with necessary community resources and linkages to prevent future occurrences of family violence.

Requirements:
Knowledge in treatment planning, assessment, discharge planning, thorough clinical documentation, and crisis intervention required.   Experience with creating a therapeutic milieu and working with emotionally challenged teenage population in a group home setting.

A Master’s degree is required with two (2) years of related experience.  Clinical registered Intern for licensure is required.  Flexible schedule including some weekends and evenings required.  Valid and insurable Florida Driver’s License and drug/background screening required.  We offer competitive salaries and excellent benefits.

Hospital Liaison Specialist – Home Safe

The Children’s Place at Home Safe, Inc has an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Hospital Liaison Specialist in our new HEALTHLY BEGINNINGS entry agency.  This is a great opportunity to join our team as we develop and implement this new program from the ground up!  Reporting to the Program Supervisor, the Hospital Liaison Specialist is responsible for conducting postnatal screens and assessments to determine eligibility status for entry into the Healthy Beginnings Program in assigned hospitals. This position requires flexibility and local travel to assigned hospital locations.
 
Requirements: 
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Services (preferably in a field such as social work, developmental psychology, and / or childhood education) is required.  A minimum of two (2) years in child welfare, primary prevention services, child development or related human services field is required.  Experience working with newborns and newly delivered mothers preferred.  A valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.  Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Proficiency in database programs (FOCiS) and Welligent preferred; Excellent knowledge of child development and early childhood education, excellent assessment skills for children from birth to age 5, problem solving skills,  as well as excellent verbal, written, interpersonal skills required.  Bilingual strongly preferred (Spanish/ Creole)

Program Director – Milagro Center

Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement and develop children’s program to include art and cultural education, academic instruction and Living Values curriculum.
  • Plan student schedules, each semester, including summer camp that are diverse, educational and promote student development.
  • Foster relationships with children and families and provide support in all areas of youth development.  Plan, coordinate and implement parent meetings, and the parent volunteer component.  Develop communication tools to meet the need of a diverse population.
  • Recruit, hire and develop program staff to ensure successful implementation of the after school program that is culturally diverse and promotes youth development and creativity.  Evaluate, coach, lead and direct supervision of assigned staff, creating effective work plans.
  • Contribute to grant writing projects as needed. Participation in community based organizations/events to promote the center and increase resources.
  • Recruit, contract and manage professional artists to ensure the successful implementation of lesson plans.  Provide direction, coaching and follow up as required,
  • Project management of the certification processes, providing direction and oversight to ensure that program outcomes and objectives are met based on the funders guidelines.
  • Create and facilitate art instruction/education to support the community outreach component.  Seek partnerships with community based organization to the support the program’s current and future needs.
  • Provide direction and leadership to collecting data for on-going review of student academic progress, reviewing report cards and other reports as required. Submit progress to funders as required. Establish meaningful relationships with school personnel in order to accomplish program goals.
  • Establish and implement recognition programs for students, artist, and staff to support accomplishments and acknowledge program support and contributions.

 
Qualifications:

  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years supervisory/management experience.
  • Project management experience, preferably with a nonprofit organization. 
  • Active listening and effective problem solving skills; knowledge of behavior management a must.
  • Knowledge of community resources and ability to establish partnerships.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years experience working with children and families.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills (oral and written) and the ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Educational background including curriculum development preferred.
  • Proven skills in data collection and report development.
  • Must have experience and skills in the use of software programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Director’s Credential preferred special consideration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; Master’s Degree preferred.

Lead Instructor - Pioneer Park Beacon Center

Full-time position to provide youth development programming; instruct group leaders on program expectations; ensure lesson plans are completed timely; and evaluate environment for safety.

Targeted Case Manager – Parent-Child Center, Inc.

Responsibilities:
To monitor, plan, link and advocate for your client and their families – to include a full range of traditional and non-traditional mental health services, family supports, health, education and social services; develop strength based assessment & an individualized service plan for each family; assess the effectiveness of the service plan in meeting the identified needs; and linking your clients with services and resources. 

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with a major in counseling, social work, psychology, criminal justice, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education or related human services field; one (1) year experience working with SED children; completion of the DCF ADM approved case management training or will complete within six (6) months of hire; have knowledge of available resources; valid Florida driver’s license with dependable transportation; and ability to pass a criminal background check through the Department of Children of Families.  Bilingual in Spanish is extremely helpful.

Salary:
Low $30’s plus a full benefits package

Care Coordinator (Bilingual English Spanish) – Healthy Mothers/Healthy Babies

This position is responsible for assisting pregnant women in obtaining quality prenatal care, obtaining a payer source while providing linkage, education and support. Local travel required.

Responsibilities:
Conducts prenatal intakes, including home visits to ensure that pregnant women obtain access to needed prenatal care.
Links clients to available financial payer sources.
Incumbent must prioritize and strategize accordingly throughout each month to obtain required number of intakes.
Conducts prenatal follow-ups which include psychosocial assessment; prenatal education/information and appropriate referrals for other needed resources and services.
Promotes early and continual prenatal care, stressing the importance of following immunization schedule.
Promotes the self sufficiency of parents.
Incumbent is responsible for maintaining established quantity and quality standards.
Responsible for updating and maintaining accurate client information within the data management system. 
Ensure referrals have been appropriately linked and documented within the data management system and agency data function.
Establish and maintains a collaborative relationship between agency departments as well as the provider network including medical, nursing, mental health, and social services. 
Flexibility required is providing needed coverage for other designated locations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of maternal child issues and community resources.
Ability to interface effectively with a diverse population.
Professional social work documentation skills.
Must possess strong verbal communications skills as well as time management skills.
Computer skills including Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
English/Spanish bi-lingual skills, both verbal and written
Must have a valid Florida driver’s license, have an acceptable driving record, carry minimum auto insurance as required by state law and provide own transportation.

Experience Required:
Minimum of one (1) year experience working with pregnant woman and/or mothers and children.

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Counseling or Education.
