Indicator: Race and Ethnicity of Children
Importance of Indicator
Palm Beach County is rich with a diverse population of children of different races and ethnicities. This diversity contributes to the quality of life in our community and draws attention to unique needs.
Race and ethnicity data is important because child well-being outcomes often differ when such factors are taken into account. Because of those differences, services for children and families should not be of the “cookie-cutter” variety, but instead should build upon the strengths of and be tailored to the groups that make up our diverse community.
