This interactive training will allow participants to understand the importance of home visitor safety as it relates to keeping themselves and their clients safe. In addition, participants will understand the precautions necessary when working with families in which there is domestic violence while reviewing agency responsibilities regarding safety, polices and liability.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will be able to:
• Identify strategies to keep themselves and their clients safe when conducting home visits
• Explain precautions necessary when working with families in which there is domestic violence
• Articulate agency responsibilities regarding safety, policies, and liability
• Discuss the importance of home visitor safety and how it applies to their profession
