“Advanced Child Development” by Anne Hogan, PhD, integrates child development through an infant mental health lens, both from theoretical perspectives, and also from applied perspectives. This training is designed to provide infant mental health specialists (Nurses, Mental Health Professionals, Child Psychologists, Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists) with the skills needed to work effectively with young children and their families. Providers will learn the developmental needs, interests and abilities of young children while providing a safe and healthy environment. Providers will develop a broad base of child development knowledge, which will prepare them to plan developmentally appropriate experiences for children from birth through early childhood.
