Breastfeeding a newborn is a natural, usually wonderful, experience for both mother and baby. Getting started with breastfeeding, though, does not always come naturally. There is a lot to learn!
This course will show providers how to scaffold caregivers, recognize what they bring to the interaction, and support the parent-child relationship in a strength-based manner using the Touchpoints approach. This training will also help providers identify barriers to breastfeeding and review how to implement protocols for breastfeeding care/services.
