Families receiving services from CSC invited to take part in survey

Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County
January 8, 2019

Parents who receive home-visiting services funded by Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County are invited to participate in an important study about families. The study, conducted by RTI International, began in November 2018. It includes an in-person parent interview and a child assessment to help learn about the needs of families in Palm Beach County, the kinds of services they receive and the different ways these services help families.

RTI interviewers will contact local families by mail, and then by telephone, to schedule a home visit with those who express interest in participating in the study. The interviewer will ask permission to do some activities with the child to assess their development, and film a play session between the parent and child. The interviewer will ask the parent questions about their child’s development, including his or her learning, behavior and health. The interviewer also will ask about the services the family receives and their family environment.

An $80 gift card will be offered to each family who participates.

Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County will use the results of the study to plan future services.
