Congratulations to our CEO, Dr. Lisa Williams-Taylor of Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County, who has been honored with a 2019 Women in Leadership Award in the Public Sector by the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches Foundation.
Each year, the foundation chooses honorees who are nominated in four sectors (volunteer, private, nonprofit and public) to recognize the leadership accomplishments of women in the community. The awards luncheon typically attracts 700 attendees and raises money to help promising girls and young women in Palm Beach County attend college.
Dr. Williams-Taylor was nominated by Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Palm Beach County and United Way of Palm Beach County.
In the nomination, Michelle Gonzalez, CEO of Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies, said, “Dr. Williams is an advocate for children and families in Palm Beach County on a multitude of levels. She is dedicated to supporting families in creative and innovative ways that invest in the health, education and social-emotional needs of the entire family unit. …We are incredibly fortunate as a community to have Dr. Williams-Taylor’s leadership.”
Dr. Laurie George, CEO of the United Way of Palm Beach County, concurred. “The leadership style of Dr. Williams-Taylor is truly what makes her shine. She is an excellent listener and engages her team to get their perspective on important issues.
“She exudes patience, kindness and compassion with all people.”
This isn’t the first time Dr. Williams-Taylor has been honored for her leadership. She also is the recipient of the 2017 Women’s Chamber of Commerce Palm Beach County Giraffe Award and the 2016 United Way Simply the Best Outstanding Executive Champion award.
