Biography

Joel Flores, a Palm Beach County Commissioner, is a decorated U.S. Army combat veteran and former mayor of Greenacres. As mayor, Mr. Flores focused on serving and protecting his community, volunteering in the community and mentoring youth. He currently is appointed to the following boards and commissions: the Criminal Justice Commission; Public Safety Coordinating Council (Corrections Task Force); Transportation Planning Agency of Palm Beach County; Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council; Value Adjustment Board; and the Circuit 15 Juvenile Justice Advisory Board. He previously served on the Palm Beach County League of Cities and Lake Worth West Residential Planning Agency. He is a graduate of Lyndon State College with a Master’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University.
