Council Update: CSCPBC Recognizes May as Mental Health Awareness and Trauma-Informed Care Month
At its May meeting, Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County’s board celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Get Your Green On campaign, which honors mental health awareness and trauma-informed care throughout the month.
The campaign began as a grassroots movement of Atlantic Community High School students and Healthier Delray Beach and has grown to become a countywide initiative raising awareness about the visible importance of self-care and community healing. May 15 is the official Get Your Green On Day, with residents and community leaders invited to post photos on social media using the hashtags #GetYourGreenOn and #GYGO2025.
Organizations across Palm Beach County celebrate the month with events, proclamations and campaigns that spread the word about local and national resources. To learn more, visit www.GetYourGreenOn.org.

Special Needs Workshop: The Council heard from eight local agencies, seven of which are funded by Children’s Services Council, to better understand how young children in Palm Beach County who at risk of delays in growth or development are identified and receive services. The programs walked the Council through the process, from screening and assessment to referral and services. The agencies in attended were: Children’s Place HomeSafe, Easter Seals Florida, The Arc of Palm Beach County, 211 Palm Beach/Treasure Coast, United Way of Palm Beach County, Gold Coast Down Syndrome and The Children’s Healing Institute. The School District of Palm Beach County also attended.
EveryParent Messaging: Starting in June, residents will see new billboards across Palm Beach County touting CSC’s EveryParent campaign. The messaging, which reminds families that EveryParentPBC.org is a vital, local resource, will be reinforced by radio ads and bolstered with digital and social messaging. Featured topics coincide with CSC’s summer campaign focused on water safety and reading.
EveryParent Website Updates: CSC’s Communications Team refreshed the EveryParent | Parenting Resources for Palm Beach County landing pages for Spanish- and Creole-speaking families with information that supports the new social media campaigns. The Creole-language landing page, EveryParent | Kreyòl, now includes a welcome video from Mirva Cadet, director of program, as well as a list of important local resources with Creole-speaking contacts. Content on the Spanish-language landing page, EveryParent | Español, mirrors messaging on the main EveryParentPBC.org site with additional local resources in Spanish.
