Vince Goodman, Secretary of Children’s Services Council’s board, is a retired educator after 38 years with Palm Beach County schools. He was a teacher and assistant principal at various elementary, middle and high schools, retiring from Gold Coast Community School in the Westgate neighborhood. Goodman is a U.S. Army veteran who was wounded during service in Vietnam in 1963-1965. He has served on the county’s Fair Housing/Equal Employment Opportunity Board, Community Action Board, Community Relations Board and Riviera Beach Bi-Racial Board. He was the first African-American to chair the county’s Republican Party Executive Committee, a post he held for four years. He holds degrees from FAMU and Howard University, and a master’s degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Nova University.
