Child First Evaluation Final Report Executive Summary
This report examines the extent to which Child First reduces child maltreatment, and improves child and parent outcomes, compared to other clinical programs as well as a comparison group. The report was conducted by the National Survey of Child and Adolescent Well-Being (NSCAW II). Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County adopted this program to reduce child maltreatment, improve child and parent outcomes, and prevent families from entering child protective services.

An evaluation study found that children who participate in Child First were less likely to be reported to the state’s child protective services than comparison children.
